In my experience people either love or hate the Dandy Warhols. Their forays into TV soundtracks attract some folks but they wind up at odds with the early indie fans. The band members themselves don’t always make friends wherever they go (the lead singer of I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch In The House wrote a fantastic song about the lead singer from his time as a bartender where the singer frequented… and it wasn’t a particularly nice song.

Given how the Dandys were much more popular in the UK, a remix by Massive Attack made a lot of sense. (I don’t know that this EP and the remix on it was released in the states.) The result is impressive - dense, scary and turns the softer original into a real grinder. The original was a good song for headphones, this is wall of knives coming to get you and everything around you.
