This is the one thing that all people dream

These folks were part of my latest batch of discs for Pop Culture Press and they won me over after a few listens. The sixties influenced psychedelic sound to many of the tracks didn’t do it for me but deeper down in the album are two absolute gems. “Wishful Thinking” and “Subject of the Kill” are darker, denser and full of the sort of tension that makes me fall in love with a song for all the right reasons. (As opposed to those hooky choruses that never leave your head - you love those just to get them out of your life… er head.)

Picking one to feature was a hard decision but I’m going with “Wishful Thinking” because of the extra layers of goodies on top of the melodies. Underneath the main melodies and vocals can hear squawking guitars, turntable scratches and other samples that make it well worth listening to.
